Veteran Support Programs
Supportive Services For Veteran Families
The SSVF program aims to improve housing stability for low-income veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. If you are homeless, or at immediate risk of becoming homeless, please contact us immediately at (978) 372-3626 (M-F 8am-4pm), or info@vneoc.org.
Housing
VNEOC operates several facilities that provide a range of options for Veterans in need of housing support. We provide transitional housing to homeless veterans which gets them off the streets and provides some structure and case management. As the Veteran’s situation improves, we can offer Single Room Occupancy group home settings and subsidized housing on the open market. The goal is to help move toward self-sufficiency and have them to move on to permanent housing and independent, productive lives.
Veterans Northeast Outreach Center – Transitional and Permanent Housing:
The Center administers several residential assistance programs ranging from transitional housing supporting homeless veterans, through a series of subsidized and non-subsidized Single Room Occupancy (group setting) homes and long-term independent living apartments. Based on the veteran’s needs, income and availability, these programs provide supportive housing options for veterans who have faced many challenges and just need a little help to find housing stability and self-sufficiency.
Transition in Place (TIP)
The only program of its kind in MA, Veterans in the TIP Program work on securing employment, achieving financial stability, maintaining long-term sobriety, achieving their mental and physical health goals, and establishing an independent, self-sufficient, and successful lifestyle. It is expected that Veterans will transition-in-place in approximately 6 to 12 months (max 24 months with approved extension) by taking over the lease of the apartment VNEOC secured for them.
Permanent Housing Units
VNEOC currently manages housing units across a range of options for eligible veterans. More than just a place to live, these Veterans homes are located within the Greater Merrimack Valley.
VNEOC is constantly striving to build new connections with Landlords in order to offer even more opportunities to the Veterans we serve.
